FLATspace was a yearlong curatorial project that furthered the professional development of early-career practitioners by enabling exchanges both between academic institutions and with Chicago’s contemporary art community.

  • Curated six exhibits showcasing fourteen emerging artists
  • Facilitated a number of cross-institutional critiques, open to students and recent graduates from colleges across Chicagoland, that provided space for feedback, meaningful discourse, and networking opportunities
  • Supplementary programming including professional workshops, readings, and book launches, and a screening series
